What do I do after signing up as a DIY Camper?
You will be given a donation booklet to raise funds for the beneficiaries of the 30-Hour Famine (Click here to view the beneficiaries this year). You may only approach your family members, close relatives and friends to raise funds. Public soliciting is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Why should the public believe me?
The 30-Hour Famine has a history of 14 years in Malaysia. Most likely, some of the people whom you approach would have heard of it. If they have not heard of us, tell them what the 30-Hour Famine is about using the guide on the back of your donation booklet and urge them to read up on us at the website, especially on the beneficiary part.
Is there a minimum amount I should raise?
Our goal at the end of the day is to raise a total of RM1.8 million. Therefore, it is for each student to raise a minimum of RM80, working adult with a minimum of RM120 and children below the age of 12 to raise a minimum of RM50.
When should I return the donation?
As soon as you have finished raising funds or no later by 6 July 2012. Return the donation and the booklet to your camp leader.
Do I need to pay to join a DIY Camp?
A small fee of RM20 will be collected upon registration. The registration fee will be used in the DIY Camp administration cost.
I have participated in a DIY Camp last year. Should I join again this year?
