Every World Vision office supports projects in different countries. This allows us to spread our resources and help people in close to 100 countries worldwide. World Vision Malaysia supports children in Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Mongolia, Myanmar, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam. Click here to read more. The number of children available for sponsorship from the above countries changes from time to time. If you do not see your preferred country in the Sign Up form, it means that we currently do not have children available for sponsorship from that particular country. However, there are still children from the un-listed countries that require our help, but there are procedures involved in registering them for the child sponsorship programme. These procedures are there to protect the children and to ensure that we can be accountable to their sponsors for their wellbeing. In view of this, we would like to ask if you would consider sponsoring a child from a country that is currently listed. We apologise for the inconvenience and seek your kind understanding in this matter.
RELATED QUESTIONS: Can I sponsor a Malaysian child? World Vision's Child Sponsorship Programme is not implemented in Malaysia. The fact remains that the standard of living and development in Malaysia is generally higher than that of the countries where World Vision implements its projects. Being a comparatively developed country, Malaysians are able to lend a helping hand to others who are in great need. Also, there are many local NGOs advocating and caring for needy children in Malaysia. World Vision partners and supports some of these local organisations. Our main focus however, remains with helping children and communities in other developing countries. Can I sponsor more than one child? Yes you can! There is no limit to how many lives you would like to touch and transform.
