Finance

Finance Director

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Prepare detailed financial reports
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the management & CEO
  • Participate in strategic and financial planning for the organisation
  • Provide leadership and direction to Finance staff to ensure efficient use of human resources
  • Review all finance policy and ensure compliance of the policy
  • Research, prepare and submit the annual budget
  • Cash Flow Management: accurate cash flow analysis, USD monitoring & purchase, short term money market placement
  • Coordinate with People and Culture Department for monthly payroll
  • Respond to auditors’ comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies and ensure WVM accounts are properly audited by external auditors and submitted to the relevant authorities

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant to at least CIMA, ACCA, CPA or MIA level
  • Good working knowledge/fast learner of current accounting software systems
  • Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven report writing skills

International & Malaysian Programmes

Education Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives
  • Ensure effective and sustainable education projects design, aligned with international and national standards, contextualized for Malaysian Programmes implementation. This includes the development of new/existing model frameworks and interventions, training and resources required to support field implementation
  • Ensure strong design, monitoring and evaluation (DME) framework in education projects for effective monitoring and implementation
  • Provide support and guidance to field staff on the monitoring and implementation of education interventions in the communities
  • Capture best practices and lessons learnt to improve education models and interventions
  • Support International Programmes’ Regional Coordinators on technical input to National Offices
  • Support the establishment of a local HEA response team and to be deployed as a National Disaster Management Team (NDMT) staff in the event WVM respond to a local disaster response

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Need Education, Child Development or related field
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of working experience in Education, Child Development or Community Development work preferred

  • Excellent knowledge on Education models, best practices, research and analysis skills

Resource Development (Marketing)

Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual marketing plan and monitor the annual plan to ensure objectives and targets are met
  • Track department budget and make recommendations on appropriate budgetary re-allocations and changes
  • Oversee the building and extension of corporate partners network
  • Conduct due diligence on potential corporate partners to safeguard WV’s public image and integrity
  • Conceptualise and present fresh initiatives that will help build new partnership opportunities and penetrate new corporate market segments
  • Oversee and guide marketing teams to ensure respective responsibilities and work assigned are carried out according to set procedures, objectives, and deadlines, as well as being in line with WV policies and standards
  • Oversee and advise on planning of key marketing campaigns
  • Identify talent/capacity gaps and make recommendations on appropriate training and measures to be taken for the development of team members

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 7 years work experience in marketing and sales

Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Explore new market and business opportunities, and to execute strategy to engage new potential donor
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken, the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors
  • Provide updates on key deliverables and produce weekly or monthly reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Marketing or Business Management

Digital Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate World Vision Malaysia (WVM) online presence, manage websites and communication with our supporters through emails, blogs, social media and mobile apps
  • Develop and deliver digital communication branding, advocacy, projects, emergency relief appeal and initiatives to promote WVM's work, build our supporter base and contribute towards the delivery of fundraising targets
  • Develop digital communications materials (including video) and publications as needed
  • Build relationship with bloggers, youtubers, online influential personalities
  • Contribute to organisational strategy and planning
  • Support for WVM events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/Mass Communications/Advertising/Media/E-commerce or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in Digital Marketing
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Good writing skills in English Language, with some basic writing skill in Chinese
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft, simple coding & web design
  • Knowledge of email marketing, campaign rules for Google Adwords, social media, etc. & and web analytics
  • Knowledge of various Social Media platforms and other online tracking tools
Public Engagement

Donor Care Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Donor Care operations, prepare yearly budget and carry out supervisory role with the Donor Care team; including evaluation of performances, identifies and provides training and development opportunities
  • Plan and develop donor retention strategies and initiatives. Identify and understand top cancellation reasons and resolve donor issues to minimize and /or avoid donor drop-outs
  • Continually seek improvisation on Donor Care processes and operational system. Provide input into the overall strategy of Donor Relations Department
  • Support and provide superior service via phone, e-mail and faxes as a receiver and caller. Follow up on donor inquiries and complaints not immediately resolved
  • Participate in donor transformation. This includes but is not limited to the leading of sponsors visit
  • Participate and help out in promotional events

Qualifications:

  • Diploma holder, with at least 5 years customer service experience, out of which 2 years of a management position
  • Highly motivated and passionate about World Vision’s ministry. Strong understanding of the work of World Vision and working knowledge of the World Vision Partnership structures
  • Good command of spoken and written English, command of Mandarin if of an advantage
  • Computer literate and good working knowledge Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude, good team player, able to work under pressure and multitask

Donor Support Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
  • Import or export data from one application to another, and ensure accurate and timely processing of sponsor/donor records
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Receive calls and respond to queries pertaining to sponsorship and donations
  • Provide administrative support in office functions and other ad-hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

  • STPM or SPM with some working experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Data entry skills, attention to detail, confidentiality and thoroughness
  • Able to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Positive attitude, good team player, and able to work under pressure
  • Good human interaction and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and/or Mandarin
Sponsorship Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other WV offices on enquiries from child sponsors
  • Liaise with other WV offices to improve collaterals to be given to child sponsors
  • Coordinate and provide support in sponsorship communications
  • Update sponsors and donors on their sponsored child’s/children’s status and the various community development projects
  • Data entry and update sponsors’ information into WVM’s database
  • Sorting, filing and archiving of documents

Qualifications:

  • Minimum diploma with at least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good command of Chinese an added advantage
