Finance Director

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Prepare detailed financial reports
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the management & CEO
  • Participate in strategic and financial planning for the organisation
  • Provide leadership and direction to Finance staff to ensure efficient use of human resources
  • Review all finance policy and ensure compliance of the policy
  • Research, prepare and submit the annual budget
  • Cash Flow Management: accurate cash flow analysis, USD monitoring & purchase, short term money market placement
  • Coordinate with People and Culture Department for monthly payroll
  • Respond to auditors’ comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies and ensure WVM accounts are properly audited by external auditors and submitted to the relevant authorities

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant to at least CIMA, ACCA, CPA or MIA level

Support Services

People & Culture Executive

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Maintaining employee records, filling, leave system, preparing letter and monitoring all contracts' periods
  • Manage and assist in organisational related events and activities (ie. staff gathering)
  • Prepare on - boarding for new hires and conduct orientation programme
  • Payroll processing & administration (including statutory submission like EPF, SOCSO, PCB, liaising with respective statutory bodies with regards to payroll and Human Resource related matters.)
  • Maintain good relationship with all staff and Management
  • To perform other related duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor 's Degree in Human Resources

International & Malaysian Programmes

Malaysian Programmes Development Facilitator (Based in Sabah)

Responsibilities:

Working with the communities

  • Identify community issues, needs and problems
  • Developing new community-based programmes and resources
  • Facilitate community engagement through group processes
  • Evaluate and monitor existing programmes
  • Help raise public awareness on issues relevant to the community
  • Acting as facilitator to promote self-help in the community
  • Encourage participation from the communities in activities
  • Preparing reports (including but not limited to assessment, monitoring and evaluation reports) and sharing the learning with Project team members

Networking and Coordination

  • Build relationship with Government, NGO, FBOs, related partners and community to promote achieving well-being of children in the communities
  • Enlist the cooperation of government bodies, churches, community organisations and individuals
  • Planning, attending and coordinating meetings and events
  • Share WV’s identity, mission, vision, values and our approach to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear, as a spokesperson for WV

Qualifications:

  • Possession of at least a Diploma or its equivalent

Malaysian Programmes Admin Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track budgets in Malaysian Programmes (MP)
  • Responsible for procurement, coordination and logistics for events and visits
  • Provide support to Malaysian Programmes field staff through coordination with support services in WVM
  • Coordinate support for local NGO and ensure accountability
  • Maintain Database of Records and Information
  • Create and monitor MP processes & guidelines
  • Review monthly reports – Finance, processes, and other office matters
  • Oversee General Administrative tasks; Office Assets and Security

Qualifications:

  • Degree in any field
  • 2-3 years relevant working experience
  • Good working knowledge of English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Time Management and ability to manage complex multi-task within a limited time frame
Project Facilitator

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Communicate WV’s identity, mission, vision, values and programming approach in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear
  • Establish and/or strengthen relationships with local partners in the communities to promote participation and ownership
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and capacity building workshops for the communities through local partners (e.g. District Health Office, master coaches, schools, community representative [JKKK] etc)
  • Mobilise local partners, children and communities and promote activate participation in the football and nutrition activities

Programme Monitoring, Reporting and Planning

  • Collaborate with team members in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes of all project activities for effective programme integration under the support and coaching of the Project Coordinator
  • Implement baseline, participatory monitoring and evaluation in the targeted communities
  • Facilitate and support local partners in conducting regular reflections with the communities to review progress, results and areas for improvement
  • Ensure proper tracking and reporting of progress and expenses in semi-annual and annual reports
  • Perform other related duties as required

Resource Development (Marketing)

Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual marketing plan and monitor the annual plan to ensure objectives and targets are met
  • Track department budget and make recommendations on appropriate budgetary re-allocations and changes
  • Oversee the building and extension of corporate partners network
  • Conduct due diligence on potential corporate partners to safeguard WV’s public image and integrity
  • Conceptualise and present fresh initiatives that will help build new partnership opportunities and penetrate new corporate market segments
  • Oversee and guide marketing teams to ensure respective responsibilities and work assigned are carried out according to set procedures, objectives, and deadlines, as well as being in line with WV policies and standards
  • Oversee and advise on planning of key marketing campaigns
  • Identify talent/capacity gaps and make recommendations on appropriate training and measures to be taken for the development of team members

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 7 years work experience in marketing and sales

Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Explore new market and business opportunities, and to execute strategy to engage new potential donor
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken, the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors

Digital Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate World Vision Malaysia (WVM) online presence, manage websites and communication with our supporters through emails, blogs, social media and mobile apps
  • Develop and deliver digital communication branding, advocacy, projects, emergency relief appeal and initiatives to promote WVM's work, build our supporter base and contribute towards the delivery of fundraising targets
  • Develop digital communications materials (including video) and publications as needed
  • Build relationship with bloggers, youtubers, online influential personalities
  • Contribute to organisational strategy and planning
  • Support for WVM events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/Mass Communications/Advertising/Media/E-commerce or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in Digital Marketing
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Good writing skills in English Language, with some basic writing skill in Chinese
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft, simple coding & web design
  • Knowledge of email marketing, campaign rules for Google Adwords, social media, etc. & and web analytics

Public Engagement

Faith & Church Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Engage supporters and churches for child well-being through strategic articulation and implementation of World Vision’s Christian humanitarian approach to community development, emergency relief, and advocacy (programmatic and fundraising)
  • Reinforce World Vision’s Christian identity, foundations, and witness through integration of core documents, guidelines, and policies at Board, Management, staff, and programmatic levels in a Support Office capacity
  • Foster interfaith cooperation and collaboration for child well-being with the Malaysian Church and other faith-based entities
  • Facilitate prayer by staff, churches, and partners through implementation of strategic prayer-based programmes internally

Qualifications:

  • University degree with experience in Christian and Theological studies would be an added advantage
  • Result focussed with ability to influence across church denominations and other faith-based organisations
  • Mature in thinking and the Christian faith
  • Sensitive to the different cultures where we work in
  • Ability to articulate and connect humanitarian issues with the Christian faith – grounded in Systematic Theology

Communications Officer - English Copywriter

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate WV philosophy, vision, mission and beliefs with regards to specific issues to the public as and when the opportunity arises
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all WV communications and graphic materials at all levels and under all circumstances
  • Safeguard WV corporate image and messaging in the use of an array of multi-channel communications ensuring that WV's international branding and messaging requirements and standards are followed through diligently and accurately
  • Ensure all campaigns, events, and promotional materials are completed accordingly to stipulated timelines, taking into consideration schedules of third-party suppliers
  • Write copy for print, online and electronic mediums including newsletters, direct mailers, information brochures, posters, websites, corporate and promotional videos, audio promotions photo library and other related audio-visual materials
  • Specific campaigns like 30 Hour Famine will require research and analytical capabilities in order to be able to simplify and communicate the essential information to the target audience

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must posses at least Diploma/Advanced/Degree in Mass Communications or English or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field for this position
  • Strong writing skills in the English Language
  • Hands-on experience in writing content for print publications and online communications etc, both long and short form copy
  • Ability to meet desired standards under strict deadlines, work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation skills
Sponsorship Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other WV offices on enquiries from child sponsors
  • Liaise with other WV offices to improve collaterals to be given to child sponsors
  • Coordinate and provide support in sponsorship communications
  • Update sponsors and donors on their sponsored child’s/children’s status and the various community development projects
  • Data entry and update sponsors’ information into WVM’s database
  • Sorting, filing and archiving of documents

Qualifications:

  • Minimum diploma with at least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good command of Chinese an added advantage
