Finance

Finance Director

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Prepare detailed financial reports
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the management & CEO
  • Participate in strategic and financial planning for the organisation
  • Provide leadership and direction to Finance staff to ensure efficient use of human resources
  • Review all finance policy and ensure compliance of the policy
  • Research, prepare and submit the annual budget
  • Cash Flow Management: accurate cash flow analysis, USD monitoring & purchase, short term money market placement
  • Coordinate with People and Culture Department for monthly payroll
  • Respond to auditors’ comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies and ensure WVM accounts are properly audited by external auditors and submitted to the relevant authorities

Qualifications:

International & Malaysian Programmes

Malaysian Programmes Development Facilitator (Based in Sabah)

Responsibilities:

Working with the communities

  • Identify community issues, needs and problems
  • Developing new community-based programmes and resources
  • Facilitate community engagement through group processes
  • Evaluate and monitor existing programmes
  • Help raise public awareness on issues relevant to the community
  • Acting as facilitator to promote self-help in the community
  • Encourage participation from the communities in activities
  • Preparing reports (including but not limited to assessment, monitoring and evaluation reports) and sharing the learning with Project team members

Networking and Coordination

  • Build relationship with Government, NGO, FBOs, related partners and community to promote achieving well-being of children in the communities
  • Enlist the cooperation of government bodies, churches, community organisations and individuals

Qualifications:

  • Possession of at least a Diploma or its equivalent

Resource Development (Marketing)

Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual marketing plan and monitor the annual plan to ensure objectives and targets are met
  • Track department budget and make recommendations on appropriate budgetary re-allocations and changes
  • Oversee the building and extension of corporate partners network
  • Conduct due diligence on potential corporate partners to safeguard WV’s public image and integrity
  • Conceptualise and present fresh initiatives that will help build new partnership opportunities and penetrate new corporate market segments
  • Oversee and guide marketing teams to ensure respective responsibilities and work assigned are carried out according to set procedures, objectives, and deadlines, as well as being in line with WV policies and standards
  • Oversee and advise on planning of key marketing campaigns
  • Identify talent/capacity gaps and make recommendations on appropriate training and measures to be taken for the development of team members

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 7 years work experience in marketing and sales

Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Explore new market and business opportunities, and to execute strategy to engage new potential donor
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken, the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors
  • Provide updates on key deliverables and produce weekly or monthly reporting requirements

Qualifications:

Digital Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate World Vision Malaysia (WVM) online presence, manage websites and communication with our supporters through emails, blogs, social media and mobile apps
  • Develop and deliver digital communication branding, advocacy, projects, emergency relief appeal and initiatives to promote WVM's work, build our supporter base and contribute towards the delivery of fundraising targets
  • Develop digital communications materials (including video) and publications as needed
  • Build relationship with bloggers, youtubers, online influential personalities
  • Contribute to organisational strategy and planning
  • Support for WVM events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/Mass Communications/Advertising/Media/E-commerce or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in Digital Marketing
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Good writing skills in English Language, with some basic writing skill in Chinese
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft, simple coding & web design
  • Knowledge of email marketing, campaign rules for Google Adwords, social media, etc. & and web analytics

Events Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in general planning, coordinate and execute yearly theme for fund raising campaigns / road shows / events, including liaising with partners, corporate sponsors, volunteers, contractors and other third party agencies which include securing of malls and non-mall venues for road shows
  • Assisting and executing fund raising campaigns, events, special projects and any other strategies, and submitting timely reports for every initiative
  • Identify, collate, upkeep and expand database of existing and potential WV partners, sponsors, donors and new guests in relation to various World Vision Malaysia's (WVM) events, projects and campaigns
  • Build relationship and partnership with malls / current and potential partners to foster relationship and accurately communicate WVM's vision, values and mission to target groups to uphold the image and values of WVM
  • Work closely with celebrity engagement, church engagement, and Volunteer Management to build, synergise and coordinate for all events and monthly road shows
  • Perform due diligence on potential partners to safeguard WV’s public image and integrity prior to any CSR collaboration
  • Ensure all activities related to Child Sponsorship campaign and other fund raising activities are in line, and consistent with WV’s vision, mission and core values, as well as on-going external promotional activities

Qualifications:

Public Engagement

Communications Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the brand values and communications of the organisation are always correctly and consistently conveyed, both externally and internally
  • Oversee annual marketing campaign communications messaging
  • Draw up or adhere to Corporate, Public Affairs and Marketing Communications policies and key messages in compliance with WV global and local requirements and messaging
  • Advise and strategise on potentially sensitive internal and external communications issues
  • Strategise, oversee and fine-tune initiatives aimed at promoting World Vision image and work to different stakeholders
  • Oversee and guide communications team at the ground level, to ensure that respective areas of responsibilities and work assigned are carried out according to set procedures and objectives, deadlines and in line with World Vision policies and standards
  • Identify talent/capacity gaps and make recommendations on appropriate trainings and measures to be taken for the enhancement and development of team members
  • Take heed of Communications department’s performance, professional needs and well-being

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or equivalent with at least 5 years of working experience in this field
  • Preferably Managers with background in Comms, Branding, Digital Marketing, Public Relations or Publishing
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Creative, driven, positive, organized, responsible and has good multi-tasking skills
  • Able to work independently and have excellent people-management skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
Church Relations Senior Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Church Relations annual initiatives in line with WVM Strategic Goals
  • Engage churches to participate in the 30-Hour Famine
  • Consistently source for strategic engagement platforms with churches: introductory sessions, sermons, workshops, camps, church-partnership project meetings and networking activities
  • Mobilise church partners to participate in WVM’s funding initiatives which include Child Sponsorship, Emergency Relief, etc
  • Participate in (and facilitate where appropriate) “spiritual nurture of staff” initiatives of the organisation: weekly devotions, monthly chapel services, weekly prayer meetings, discipleship modules, Bible study facilitators’ workshops, and the annual staff retreat
  • Produce theological reflection papers and presentation materials that expound on specific areas of WVM’s Christian humanitarian work: Christian witness in WVM’s CDP, the 30 Hour Famine, Child Sponsorship, and emergency relief initiatives
  • Lead prayer newsletters production initiative (quarterly)

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of work experience in related position will be advantageous
  • Preferably worked in a church or a Christian NGO previously
  • Great communication and interpersonal skill
  • Positive attitude, good team player, and able to work autonomously as well
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
Donor Care Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to queries from child sponsor/donors/public made via telephone, emails, snail mails, faxes, app messaging, text messaging and face to face contact
  • Build rapport which child sponsors/donors/public and serve them well to retain their loyalty and interest and to encourage sponsors to consider sponsoring additional children or encouraging others to sponsor children
  • Encourage sponsors/donors continue to see and appreciate the value of our work through retention initiatives
  • Be sensitive to sponsors / donors needs and pray with them when appropriate
  • Liaise with child sponsors /donors with regards to remittance of sponsorship contributions/donations
  • Update sponsors and donors on their sponsored children child/children's status and the various community development projects
  • Encourage to build an enriching friendship with their sponsored child by writing letters, sending small gifts, participating in group sponsor's visit/individual visits
  • Educate and advocate who World Vision is and what we do
  • Data entry and update of sponsor's information into systems
  • Backup managing and sorting email account
  • Lead/support through organisation wide events

Qualifications:

  • Minimum SPM with 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Good command of spoken and written English and/or Mandarin
  • Positive attitude, good team player, and able to work under pressure
Sponsorship Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other WV offices on enquiries from child sponsors
  • Liaise with other WV offices to improve collaterals to be given to child sponsors
  • Coordinate and provide support in sponsorship communications
  • Update sponsors and donors on their sponsored child’s/children’s status and the various community development projects
  • Data entry and update sponsors’ information into WVM’s database
  • Sorting, filing and archiving of documents

Qualifications:

  • Minimum diploma with at least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good command of Chinese an added advantage
IT & Systems

IT Support Senior Executive

Responsibilities:

  • To provide IT support on hardware and software matters to ensure the staff are able to perform their duties
  • To maintain the network connectivity and security for all devices and servers
  • Source for cost effective quotation for the purchase of IT software and equipment and liaising work with vendors
  • Active participant/contributor in IT projects, implementing and delivering of IT solutions and services to the office
  • Manage IT asset inventory for better tracking, replacement, disposal and license renewals of all IT software and hardware

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor's degree in IT / computer science / computer network and security or equivalent
  • Candidates who have at least 1 to 2 year(s) of work experience in related position would be considered
  • Fluent in spoken and written English with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
