Finance

Finance Director

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Prepare detailed financial reports
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the management & CEO
  • Participate in strategic and financial planning for the organisation
  • Provide leadership and direction to Finance staff to ensure efficient use of human resources
  • Review all finance policy and ensure compliance of the policy
  • Research, prepare and submit the annual budget
  • Cash Flow Management: accurate cash flow analysis, USD monitoring & purchase, short term money market placement
  • Coordinate with People and Culture Department for monthly payroll
  • Respond to auditors’ comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies and ensure WVM accounts are properly audited by external auditors and submitted to the relevant authorities

Qualifications:

International & Malaysian Programmes

Programme Officers

Responsibilities:

  • Manage country (ies) portfolio or programmes and projects funded by World Vision Malaysia (WVM)
  • Provide technical support in design monitoring and evaluation (DME) of community development programmes to enhance quality and sustainability of the programmes
  • Manage relationships with field office staff, encouraging transparency and mutual understanding and application of quality assessment, design, monitoring and evaluation standards
  • Assist in coordinating the field office funding commitments of WVM's funded programme and projects
  • Support other departments' needs for information from WVM funded programmes and projects for collateral and proposals
  • Support other departments in their visits to the field through providing accurate information, reports, and pre-briefing it necessary
  • Represent WVM in external events and assit in promotional events, including 30-Hour Famine, Child sponsorship roadshows, church Engagement and marketing campaigns
  • Involve in the preparation and deployment of local emergency response

Qualifications:

Malaysian Programmes Admin Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track budgets in Malaysian Programmes (MP)
  • Responsible for procurement, coordination and logistics for events and visits
  • Provide support to Malaysian Programmes field staff through coordination with support services in WVM
  • Coordinate support for local NGO and ensure accountability
  • Maintain Database of Records and Information
  • Create and monitor MP processes & guidelines
  • Review monthly reports – Finance, processes, and other office matters

Qualifications:

  • Degree in any field

Project Facilitator

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Communicate WV’s identity, mission, vision, values and programming approach in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear
  • Establish and/or strengthen relationships with local partners in the communities to promote participation and ownership
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and capacity building workshops for the communities through local partners (e.g. District Health Office, master coaches, schools, community representative [JKKK] etc)
  • Mobilise local partners, children and communities and promote activate participation in the football and nutrition activities

Programme Monitoring, Reporting and Planning

  • Collaborate with team members in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes of all project activities for effective programme integration under the support and coaching of the Project Coordinator
  • Implement baseline, participatory monitoring and evaluation in the targeted communities
  • Facilitate and support local partners in conducting regular reflections with the communities to review progress, results and areas for improvement
  • Ensure proper tracking and reporting of progress and expenses in semi-annual and annual reports
  • Perform other related duties as required

Resource Development

Senior Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual marketing plan and monitor the annual plan to ensure objectives and targets are met
  • Track department budget and make recommendations on appropriate budgetary re-allocations and changes
  • Oversee the building and extension of corporate partners network
  • Conduct due diligence on potential corporate partners to safeguard WV’s public image and integrity
  • Conceptualise and present fresh initiatives that will help build new partnership opportunities and penetrate new corporate market segments
  • Oversee and guide marketing teams to ensure respective responsibilities and work assigned are carried out according to set procedures, objectives, and deadlines, as well as being in line with WV policies and standards
  • Oversee and advise on planning of key marketing campaigns
  • Identify talent/capacity gaps and make recommendations on appropriate training and measures to be taken for the development of team members

Corporate Engagement Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct appropriate background research and due diligence on potential corporate partners, and middle/major donors to safeguard WV's public image and integrity
  • Build and expand partnerships with existing and potential corporate sponsors and middle/major donors through meetings, presentations and interaction
  • Strategise, conceptualise and present fresh initiatives that will yield new revenue opportunities and build new corporate market segments
  • Lead and oversee all conceptualisation, planning, roll-out and optimal usage of marketing tools targeted for corporate and middle/major donors (ie. MMD catalogues and eDM matters, etc) and its target groups
  • Prepare reports regularly on status and outcomes of corporate initiatives and funding
  • Organise, coordinate and execute planned programmes in accordance to identified strategies & activities and within the desired time frame
  • Securing sponsors and corporate funding for WVM's events

Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Explore new market and business opportunities, and to execute strategy to engage new potential donor
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken, the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors
  • Provide updates on key deliverables and produce weekly or monthly reporting requirements

Public Engagement

Faith & Church Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Source and liaise with partnership on World Vision Malaysia (WVM) theological articles that articulate a uniquely Christian humanitarian perspective that is grounded in the gospel narrative
  • Facilitate spiritual formation of staff initiatives
  • Implement strategic engagement with churches
  • Facilitate Integration of Christian identity initiatives in WVM Departments
  • Engage supporters and churches for child well-being through strategic articulation and implementation of World Vision's Christian humanitarian approach to community development, emergency relief, and advocacy
  • Reinforce World Vision's Christian identity, foundations, and witness through integration of core documents, guidelines, and policies at Board, Management, staff and programmatic levels in a Support office capacity
  • Foster interfaith cooperation and collaboration for child well - being through workshops, seminars, field visits, and dialogue platforms with Malaysian Church and other faith-based entities
  • Contribute towards children experiencing the love of God and their neighbours through departmental collaboration on the intentional and holistic implementation of the Child Well-Being Aspirations at Programmatic level in respective ADPs/CDPs
  • Facilitate prayer by staff, churches, and partners through implementation of strategic prayer-based programmes internally (Weekly prayer/Daily discernment/partnership annual day of prayer) and externally (quarterly prayer newsletter/church-led prayer meetings for WVM)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree or Masters in Divinity / Christian Studies / International Community Development
  • Preferably with a minimum of 2 years working experience in ecumenical initiatives
  • Mature in thinking and the Christian faith
  • Sensitive to the different cultures where we work in
  • Ability to foster meaningful and dynamic relationships with national church leaders, Christian practitioners, and other faith-based organisations
  • Ability to articulate and connect humanitarian issues with the Christian faith – grounded in Biblical and Systematic Theology

Donor Relations

Sponsorship Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • To provide management expertise in the development, implementation and coordination of Sponsorship Strategies that will align to the goal and strategy of the organisation
  • Oversee Sponsorship operations, prepare yearly budget and carry out supervisory role with the Sponsorship team; including evaluation of their performances, identifies and provides training and development
  • Liaise with National Office/Field Offices, Global Center and attend relevant webex meeting on all sponsorship matters
  • Provide input into the overall strategy of the Donor Relations Department. Participate in donor transformation and retention efforts. this includes but is not limited to the organising and leading of sponsors visit
  • Communicate withe Field Staff/ Community/ Sponsored Children to understand our sponsors better as well as to evaluate, develop and enhance products/materials that will help our sponsors to better understand our work

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma , any field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience with community based or Non-profit organisations
  • Strong analytical skill with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Able to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Donor Care Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to queries from child sponsor/donors/public made via telephone, emails, snail mails, faxes, app messaging, text messaging and face to face contact
  • Build rapport which child sponsors/donors/public and serve them well to retain their loyalty and interest and to encourage sponsors to consider sponsoring additional children or encouraging others to sponsor children
  • Encourage sponsors/donors continue to see and appreciate the value of our work through retention initiatives
  • Be sensitive to sponsors / donors needs and pray with them when appropriate
  • Liaise with child sponsors /donors with regards to remittance of sponsorship contributions/donations
  • Update sponsors and donors on their sponsored children child/children's status and the various community development projects
  • Encourage to build an enriching friendship with their sponsored child by writing letters, sending small gifts, participating in group sponsor's visit/individual visits
  • Educate and advocate who World Vision is and what we do
  • Data entry and update of sponsor's information into systems
  • Backup managing and sorting email account
  • Lead/support through organisation wide events

Qualifications:

  • Minimum SPM with 2 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Good command of spoken and written English and/or Mandarin
