Our CEO

Daniel Boey
Mr. Boey comes to World Vision Malaysia with 35 years of experience across industries covering distribution, retail, manufacturing and logistics. He has spent 20 of those years managing companies in Malaysia and overseas and he is particularly well versed in FMCG and food supply chain.

Married with two children, Mr. Boey holds an MBA from Deakin University, Australia and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK). He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies from Seminari Theoloji Malaysia.

Mr. Boey joins World Vision Malaysia as the Chief Executive Officer from November 2017.

Our Board of Trustees

Catherine Choong Hor Kiow
Ms. Choong is a partner at law firm Catherine Choong & Co. She has worked on fund-raising strategies with a number of non-governmental organisations and within her industry she sits on the disciplinary committee and is a certified mediator for the Malaysian Bar. She is also an Advocate & Solicitor at the High Court of Malaya.

Ms. Choong joined the Board of World Vision Malaysia in February 2005 and was appointed Chair of the Board in February 2013.

Special Responsibilities: Resource Development, Human Resources, Strategy & Board Development Committees

 

Christine Ong May Ee
Ms. Ong, a Chartered Accountant by profession, is Head of Group Internal Audit at IGB Berhad, a property diversified group. She has over 30 years experience in external audit, finance, risk management and internal audit. She joined the Board in 2009 and chairs the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee.

Special Responsibilities: Audit, Risk and Finance Committee

 

Dorothy Teoh Chiew Har
Ms. Teoh is CEO of The Edge Education Foundation, the charitable arm of business paper The Edge. She has held various editorial positions in the organisation. She joined the Board in 2008.

Special Responsibilities: Strategy Committee

 

Emeritus Prof. Dr. P T Thomas
Dr. Thomas is currently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Taylor’s University. He joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2016.

Special Responsibilities: Audit, Risk & Finance Committee

 

Hank Du
Mr. Du is the Regional Leader-Asian Markets for World Vision International. Graduating with a MBA in Management Sciences from Tamkang University in Taiwan, he previously served as a Senior Vice General Manager at Microsoft Taiwan and was the Executive Director of World Vision Taiwan.

He joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2014.

Jacob Lee Chor Kok
Mr. Lee is the Managing Director of Asli Mechanical Sdn Bhd and the current Selangor Branch Chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers. An active leader in the Chinese Methodist Church circle, he is Chairman of Methodist Crisis Relief & Development and also serves on the Board of Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled.

He joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2016.

Janet Yap Seong Yong
Ms. Yap is the Managing Director of Accenture Malaysia, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. She has been part of Accenture for 28 years, building a career in systems implementation and SAP consulting.

One of the few women technology leaders in Malaysia, Ms. Yap was the inclusion and diversity lead for the Accenture office in Malaysia, as well as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) lead for Malaysia. She joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2015.

Philip Koh Tong Ngee
Mr. Koh is the senior partner at law firm Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh. With more than 30 years of experience in corporate law, he is a much sought-after speaker and academician. He is part of legal teams in a number of major public law cases involving law, religion and human rights. He is also an Advocate & Solicitor at the High Court of Malaya.

Mr. Koh joined the WVM Board as founding chair in 1996 and in November 2013, he was appointed a member onto the World Vision International Board.

Rev. Dr. Lim Kar Yong
Rev. Dr. Lim Kar Yong is a Lecturer of New Testament Studies, Director of Postgraduate Studies, and Director of the Centre for Bible Engagement at Seminari Theoloji Malaysia. He also lectures at other seminaries in the region. He is an ordained minister with the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia.

He joined the Board of World Vision Malaysia in 2016.
