Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Research and explore new market, potential donors, and CSR collaboration opportunities with corporations
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken , the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors
  • To assist in the periodic or monthly projects, roadshows, events on all related Child Sponsorship and fundraising campaigns

Qualifications:

Data Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Develop reports using SQL Server Report (SSRS), OLAP or provide ad-hoc data extraction and data analysis
  • Advise and support business process design (operational and technical) that are related to IT applications
  • Proactively research, analyse and provide data in support of business functions, procesess, and system requirements with recommendations for business process and operational procedures improvement and/ or new requirements
  • Able to analyse data from a range of internal and external sources to produce strategic reports relevant with global and domestic direction
  • Review process to ensure accurate input of data and maintaining data integrity in the database for use in research and analysis for management and various departments
  • Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team
  • Using modelling, testing and data models to improve the flow or information through an organisation to enhance project sucess

Qualifications:

Events Executive

Scope:

The Events Executive is responsible for identifying, liaising, and engaging with third-parties / general public to expand and grow World Vision Malaysia’s on-ground presence and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage general planning for public (F2F) fund raising; help to coordinate and execute yearly theme for fund raising campaigns during events / road shows, including liaising with partners, sponsors, volunteers, contractors and other third party agencies
  • Build partnerships; identify, collate, upkeep and expand database in relation to various events / roadshows and special projects
  • Assist and execute events / roadshows and any special projects
  • Submit timely reports for every initiative
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to build, synergise and coordinate activation plans for WV events and road shows
  • Ensure all activities related to fund raising activities are in line, and consistent with WV’s vision, mission and core values, as well as external promotional activities

Qualifications:

Strategic Market Analyst (Senior Executive)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to prepare regular Strategic Assessment incorporating environmental, economic and philanthropic climate and trends aligning with our global and domestic market planning cycle
  • Able to analyse data from a range of internal and external sources to produce strategic reports relevant with global and domestic direction. Assist in the development of strategies
  • Produce ad hoc thematic research and analysis appropriate to organisations needs, analyse and interpret the results drawing inferences and making recommendations as necessary
  • To produce regular strategic analysis to inform management for informed decision making, including profiling a dashboard.
  • Review processes to ensure accurate input of data and maintaining data integrity in the database for use in research and analysis for management and various departments

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of working experience, and preferably at least one (1) year in similar role

Donor Relations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • To provide management expertise in the development, implementation and coordination of Donor Relations strategies that will align to the goal and strategy of the organisation
  • Responsible in formulating and supervising implementation of strategies that maintains donors through efficient donor service, retention and care
  • Review Donor Relations data and reports to determine progress and status in attaining WVM objectives
  • Provide leadership and direction for Donor Relations staff to ensure efficient human resources-mentor and oversee Asst. Managers and senior staff with view on succession planning
  • Plan, develop and review Donor Relations policies within the WVM context to strengthened relations with sponsors/ donors and provide high quality service
  • Participate in donor transformation. This includes but is not limited to the leading of sponsors visit
  • Participate and help out in promotional events

Qualifications:

  • Degree holder, with at least 5 years customer service experience, out of which 2 years of a management position
  • Good command of spoken and written English, command of Mandarin is of an advantage

Communications Project Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Manage briefing process, cost effective production and timely delivery of communication materials
  • Understand and support annual marketing campaign messaging
  • Assess communication briefs for clarity of purpose, as well as accuracy and adequacy of information provided
  • Monitor brief owners on timelines of projects
  • Ensure creative team and/or vendors adhere to deadlines and budgets
  • Manage allocation of creative resources in the Communications Department
  • Maintain up-to-date list of vendors and suppliers
  • Work with the Communications Manager to identify talent/capacity gaps and recommend appropriate training and measures to be taken for the enhancement and development of team members

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of working experience, preferably with experience in coordinating and managing projects involving creative work

Corporate Media Senior Executive

Responsibilities:

Corporate Media Management

  • Implement the corporate media strategy for WVM

Media Relations

  • Build rapport and understanding with corporate media contacts including media partners' CSR departments
  • Pitch media interviews and stories to raise WVM brand awareness
  • Coordinate and respond to all media enquiries related to WVM, its practices and work
  • Disseminate relevant information including media information kits, backgrounders, speeches, and briefing documents among media partners
  • Liaise, accompany and follow up with invited journalists/media organisations going on ADP visits to ensure appropriate coverage for WVM
  • Assist with emergency relief & rehabilitation media relations in Malaysia

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 years working experience in PR, Communications, Media (print and digital)
  • Ability to write press releases
  • Has general media knowledge (both online and offline media), resourceful
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder preferably in Mass Communication
  • If diploma holder, should be in the PR, Communications field
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Chinese will be an added advantage

Donor Engagement Executive

Scope

The Donor Engagement Executive will develop and maintain donor relationships through efficient donor service, retention and care.

Responsibilities

  • Support, provide and follow-up on all donor related enquiries via phone call, email, whatsapp within a given time frame
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen donor relationships at every level of communication and through personal visits whenever required
  • Data entry and update donors’ information into a database. Sort, file and archive documents
  • Prepare proposals and solicit for donations
  • Liaise, accompany and follow up with invited journalists/media organisations going on ADP visits to ensure appropriate coverage for WVM
  • Organise and participate in sponsors gathering, sponsors’ visits and road shows to drive donor retention and acquisition

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder, with at least 1 year of working experience in sales, event management or customer service
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Faith & Church Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Church Relations annual initiatives in line with WVM Strategic Goals
  • Engage churches to participate in the 30-Hour Famine
  • Consistently source for strategic engagement platforms with churches: introductory sessions, sermons, workshops, camps, church-partnership project meetings and networking activities
  • Mobilize church partners to participate in WVM’s funding initiatives which include Child Sponsorship, Emergency Relief, etc
  • Participate in (and facilitate where appropriate) “spiritual nurture of staff” initiatives of the organisation: weekly devotions, monthly chapel services, weekly prayer meetings, discipleship modules, Bible study facilitators’ workshops, and the annual staff retreat
  • Lead and coordinate prayer newsletters production initiative (quarterly)

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree and theological education will be an advantage
  • At least 3 years of work experience in related field or served in /networking with churches and para church groups
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, good team player, and able to work autonomously as well

WVM Foundation

Child Protection Officer

Scope:

The main role of Child Protection Officer is to ensure evidence-based programme and quality assurance of Child Protection projects in World Vision Malaysia (WVM) local programme, by providing technical design and support in the area of child rights, child protection, child participation and spiritual nurture of children. The child protection project is integrated with other projects such as health and nutrition, education, and economic development project to ensure holistic and sustainable community development programme. This role also ensures WVM overall child protection measures and standards are aligned with World Vision International. This position reports to the Manager of Programme Quality & Development Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives
  • Design effective and sustainable evidence-based intervention of Child Protection projects, aligned with international and national standards, for WVM local programme. This includes the development of sector framework, intervention model, training and resources required for the programme
  • Ensure strong design, monitoring and evaluation (DME) framework in Child Protection project for effective quality assurance
  • Provide technical input to field team on the implementation of Child Protection interventions
  • Capture best practice and actively promote knowledge gained into improving programmes and for knowledge sharing within or beyond WVM
  • Coordinates organisation’s child protection measures and standards to ensure WVM departments are aligned to WV child protection standards and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Child Protection, Psychology, Education, Public Policy, Social Work, Child Development
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience in Child Development or Community Development work preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strong quality assurance framework of WVM local programme by providing technical support in the area of Design, Monitoring & Evaluation (DME) and Development Programme Approach (DPA)
  • Establish strong participatory DME framework, aligned with WV DME and DPA framework, contextualized for WVM local programme for effective quality assurance. This includes the DME process, approach, training and resources required to support the programme
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of key DME activities, namely programme assessment, design, baseline and evaluation of WVM local programme
  • Support the design of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) intervention across WVM local programme
  • Provide training to field team on DME, DPA and DRR
  • Capture best practice and actively promote knowledge gained into improving programmes and for knowledge sharing within or beyond WVM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in International Development, Community Development, Social Work, Public Health or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience in the above mentioned field preferred
  • Excellent knowledge on community development models and Design, Monitoring, & Evaluation framework
  • Experience in research studies, impact evaluation or programme management
  • Strong learning ability on international development frameworks, practices and standards

Health & Nutrition Officer

Scope

The main role of Health & Nutrition Officer is to ensure evidence-based technical design and strong quality assurance framework of Health & Nutrition projects of World Vision Malaysia (WVM) local programme, by providing technical design and support in the area of maternal child health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene. The Health & Nutrition project is integrated with other projects such as education, child protection and economic development project to ensure holistic and sustainable community development programme. This position reports to the Manager of Programme Quality & Development Team.

Responsibilities:

OGM Project Facilitator

Responsibilities:

Programme Implementation

  • Communicate WV’s identity, mission, vision, values and programming approach in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear
  • Establish and/or strengthen relationships with local partners in the communities to promote participation and ownership
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and capacity building workshops for the communities through local partners (e.g. District Health Office, master coaches, schools, community representative [JKKK] etc)
  • Mobilise local partners, children and communities and promote activate participation in the football and nutrition activities

Programme Monitoring, Reporting and Planning

  • Collaborate with team members in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes of all project activities for effective programme integration under the support and coaching of the Project Coordinator
  • Implement baseline, participatory monitoring and evaluation in the targeted communities
  • Facilitate and support local partners in conducting regular reflections with the communities to review progress, results and areas for improvement
  • Ensure proper tracking and reporting of progress and expenses for semi-annual and annual reports
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:
