Resource Development

Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team comprising Brand and Digital marketing professionals to carry out the plans towards achieving stipulated targets
  • Delivery of timely & aligned brand campaigns and assets; deploy toolkits to channels and enable marketing productivity
  • Plan marketing campaigns including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising
  • Maintain social media presence across all digital channels
  • Analyze end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and touch points
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams; secure alignment and implement marketing plan
  • Prepare and deliver concise and clear executive level presentations when needed for team and management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Studies/Management, Advertising, Mass Communication, or equivalent
  • Strong experience in Digital Marketing with proven capabilities in identifying target audiences and developing digital campaigns
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments; in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience and managing a small team in related field
  • English and Mandarin dual literacy will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Campaigns & Advocacy Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to identify, recommend, develop and implement advocacy programs
  • Build awareness, understanding and support of the various social and economic issues impacting communities in need
  • Develop, execute and evaluate advocacy strategies and programs for youth involvement, contribute to the campaign’s target and brand image
  • Training of leaders for the 30-Hour Famine and other advocacy activities
  • Presentations to public and institutional groups (e.g. schools) to generate awareness and participation
  • Analyze the Youth market opportunities and create new ways to engage young people
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including Communications to plan, develop, collect feedback and manage materials/print within budget and timeline
  • Play a supporting role in all WVM general campaigns, road shows & events

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of working experience, and preferably at least one (1) year in similar advocacy role
  • Bachelor’s Degree holder and/or Child protection or related studies
  • Has engaged in youth related activities and campaigns
  • Detailed, able to prepare evaluation and monitoring documents
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills as well as presentation/public speaking skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of additional language an advantage
  • A fast learner and able to multi-task

Corporate Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Research and explore new market, potential donors, and CSR collaboration opportunities with corporations
  • Manage and build relationship with the current middle and major donor, maintaining donor's engagement and loyalty
  • Manage day-to-day work and keeps department informed of relevant project undertaken , the decision made, actions taken, issues encountered
  • Solicit feedback on key deliverables from donors and report to ensure continual improvement
  • Prepare and deliver concise, and clear executive level presentations when needed for corporate use
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of reviews to achieve quarterly goals
  • Analyse and understand the existing donor data for conversion of donors to middle and major donors
  • To assist in the periodic or monthly projects, roadshows, events on all related Child Sponsorship and fundraising campaigns

Qualifications:

Strategy Analytics

Strategic Market Analyst (Senior Executive)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to prepare regular Strategic Assessment incorporating environmental, economic and philanthropic climate and trends aligning with our global and domestic market planning cycle
  • Able to analyse data from a range of internal and external sources to produce strategic reports relevant with global and domestic direction. Assist in the development of strategies
  • Produce ad hoc thematic research and analysis appropriate to organisations needs, analyse and interpret the results drawing inferences and making recommendations as necessary
  • To produce regular strategic analysis to inform management for informed decision making, including profiling a dashboard.
  • Review processes to ensure accurate input of data and maintaining data integrity in the database for use in research and analysis for management and various departments

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of working experience, and preferably at least one (1) year in similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree holder or related studies
  • Has engaged in data analysis related survey and campaigns
  • Detailed, able to prepare evaluation and monitoring documents

Public Engagement

Corporate Media (Senior Executive)

Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport and understanding with media contacts
  • Pitch media interviews and stories to raise WVM brand awareness
  • Coordinate and respond to all media enquiries
  • Prepare and update media information kits, backgrounders, speeches, and briefing documents
  • Assist with emergency relief & rehabilitation media relations in Malaysia
  • Implement Corporate media strategies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or professional qualification in Mass Communication or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in related field
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Basic understanding of Chinese an added advantage
Donor Engagement Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Build and strengthen donor relationships for donor retention and increase giving from donors
  • Organise and participate in sponsors gathering, sponsors’ visits and road shows to drive donor retention and acquisition
  • Support, provide and follow-up on all donor related enquiries via phone call, email, whatsapp within a given time frame
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen donor relationships at every level of communication and through personal visits whenever required
  • Data entry and update donors’ information into a database. Sort, file and archive documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder, with at least 1 year of working experience in sales, event management or customer service
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude, good team player, able to work under pressure and multitask
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Project Executive, Communications

Responsibilities:

  • Manage briefing process, cost effective production and timely delivery of communication materials
  • Understand and support annual marketing and campaign messaging
  • Manage allocation of creative resources in the Communications Department
  • Ensure communication materials align with the organisation’s guidelines and strategies
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to meet deadlines and budgets. Maintain up-to-date list of vendors and suppliers
  • Work with the Communications Manager to identify capacity/talent gaps and recommend appropriate measures to be taken for the effectiveness and development of the Department

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of working experience, preferably with experience in coordinating and managing projects involving creative work
  • Bachelor's Degree holder preferably in Mass Communication/Media/Marketing/Advertising
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have good planning skills and also the ability to anticipate problems and develop a plan of action to prevent delays in project delivery

Information Technology

Data Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Study and understand the relational databases of donor data systems
  • Develop/create & extract reports using SQL Server Report (SSRS), or provide ad-hoc data extraction and data analysis
  • Review process to ensure accurate input of data and maintaining data integrity in the database for use in research and analysis for management and various departments
  • Work with relevant departments to resolve data discrepancies on the different systems
  • Maintain the tickets lodged to system helpdesk including liaising, following up, discussing with respective teams and testing on fixes/modification
  • Work directly with Resource Development on Opportunity Management as well as gather future requirements for module improvement
  • Assist in preparation of data reports for business presentations, publications, and other marketing collaterals
  • Maintains a positive, results oriented work environment, collaborating with fellow team members to achieve Company standards and expectations
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
  • Preferably 1-2 years of working experience in related fields
  • Knowledge of SQL and database platforms (MSSQL server preferred)

Web Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Create websites/a website using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Works closely with design and content team to develop websites / applications
  • Ensures quality of component designs and efficient coding activities
  • Constant communication with other colleagues to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within the time-frame
  • Implement contingency plans in case the website goes down
  • Maintain and expand/enhance the website once built
  • Perform R&D work based on fresh & new ideas and concepts to enhance web inter-activity
  • Research different software programs and maintain software documentation
  • Produce, maintain and review technical documentation and reports

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of working experience in web development
  • Required skills: JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, PHP, Java or similar development platform
  • Familiarity with SQL/MS-SQL databases and their declarative query languages

Programme Quality & Development Team

Education Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Design effective and sustainable evidence-based intervention of Education projects, aligned with international and national standards, for WVM local programme. This includes the development of sector framework, intervention model, training and resources required for the programme
  • Ensure strong design, monitoring and evaluation (DME) framework in Education project for effective quality assurance
  • Provide technical input to field team on the implementation of Education interventions
  • Capture best practice and actively promote knowledge gained into improving programmes and for knowledge sharing within or beyond WVM

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience in education, child development, community development or social work preferred
  • Excellent knowledge on Education-related models, best practice, research and analysis skills
  • Strong learning ability on international development frameworks, practices and standards
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (oral & written)
  • Highly efficient in working as a team and deliver task according to deadlines
  • Ability to travel across states in Malaysia occasionally when needed
  • Sensitive to the different cultures where we work in
  • Knowledge on data analysis software, e.g. Epi Info, SPSS, Microsoft Access preferred

Project Facilitator

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate WV’s identity, mission, vision, values and programming approach in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear
  • Establish and/or strengthen relationships with local partners in the communities to promote participation and ownership
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and capacity building workshops for the communities through local partners (e.g. District Health Office, master coaches, schools, community representative [JKKK] etc)
  • Mobilise local partners, children and communities and promote activate participation in the football and nutrition activities
  • Collaborate with team members in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes of all project activities for effective programme integration under the support and coaching of the Team Lead
  • Implement baseline, participatory monitoring and evaluation in the targeted communities
  • Facilitate and support local partners in conducting regular reflections with the communities to review progress, results and areas for improvement
  • Ensure proper tracking and reporting of progress and expenses in semi-annual and annual reports
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Sports Education/Social Science or equivalent
  • Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (oral and written)
  • Interest in sports is essential
  • Good financial knowledge and excel skills
  • Good planning and coordination skills
  • Good networking and collaboration/relationship building skills
  • Able to work independently as well as being a team player
  • Willing to travel
