World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run 2020

World Vision #RunForChildren is a 42 minutes virtual run where participants run for the child on their runner’s bib. By taking part, you will advocate for the 42 rights of children and help ensure that the rights of vulnerable children are protected!

You can complete the virtual run indoors (e.g. on a treadmill, at home) or outdoors, anytime between 3 and 19 July 2020.

Terms and Conditions
  1. The World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run is open to Malaysians, Malaysia PR holders and foreigners with a valid working permit.
  2. Participants under the age of 18 must seek parental or guardian consent before they register.
  3. Once the registration form has been duly processed, it is NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-DEFERRABLE.
  4. Completion and submission of the registration form and payment of fees represent the participant’s agreement to abide by the terms and conditions of the World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run.
  5. All entries are on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
  6. The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice or when the quota for the Run is met.
  7. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the date of the Run. No refunds will be issued if the Run is cancelled on the orders of the Organiser due to unavoidable circumstances.
  8. All participants are required to present their e-receipt (which will be sent via email) and a valid identity document (Identity Card or passport) when collecting their runner’s kit.
  9. All runner’s kit must be collected at the latest one week before the start of the virtual run.
  10. Changing of T-shirt sizes will not be allowed after the registration form has been submitted.
  11. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of the participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other recorded form of the Run for any legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.

Frequently Asked Questions
 
  1. Who can sign up for World Vision’s #RunForChildren Virtual Run?

    The World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run is open to Malaysians, Malaysia PR holders as well as foreigners with a valid working permit. It is suitable for all ages but anyone under the age of 18 must seek parental or guardian consent before they register. Participants below 15 years must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

  2. How much is it to sign up?

    It is RM60 per participant, regardless of age. Participants will receive a runner’s kit containing a unique runner’s bib, T-shirt, drawstring bag and medal. To see the designs of each of these items, please click here.

  3. I would like to register for more than five runners. Do I have to register each person individually?

    No, you don’t have to. You can email us at admin@worldvision.com.my to request for the group registration form, which will be sent to you via email. Once the form has been completed, kindly follow the instructions on the form to make payment. Then, email the bank-in slip to admin@worldvision.com.my with the subject line “World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run 2020 group sign up bank-in slip”.

  4. I have just signed up online. How do I make payment?

    At the end of the registration form (Google form), you would have been directed to the payment page. However, don’t worry if you were not. You can still access the payment page here.

  5. I have just signed up online and paid the registration fee. What happens next?

    You will receive a thank you email soon after payment has been made. Within two weeks, you will also receive two other emails – one from World Vision with more information about the Run and another containing the official e-receipt. You will need to present the e-receipt and a valid identity document (Identity Card or passport) when you collect your runner’s kit.

  6. I have signed up but will no longer be able to participate. Can I get a refund / transfer the application to a friend?

    Unfortunately once the registration form has been duly processed, it is NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-DEFERRABLE. Completion and submission of the registration form and payment of fees represent the participant’s agreement to abide by the terms and conditions of the World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run.

  7. I do not live in the Klang Valley. Can I have the runner’s kit posted to me?

    Yes, if you live outside of the Klang Valley, the runner’s kit will be posted to you by early July 2020. Please refer to the table below for postage rates, which will be borne by the participant.
     
    Peninsular Malaysia - RM9.00 per kit

    Sabah/Sarawak - RM12.00 per kit

    You may bank-in the respective amount to World Vision Malaysia’s bank account (as stated below). Once done, kindly email the bank-in slip to admin@worldvision.com.my with the subject line “World Vision #RunForChildren Virtual Run 2020 postage fee”.

  8. When is the deadline for registration?

    3 July 2020. However, World Vision reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice or when the quota for the Run is met.

    Additionally, World Vision reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the date of the Run. No refunds will be issued if the Run is cancelled on the orders of World Vision due to unavoidable circumstances.
