- Themed around LOVE and HOPE for children.
- Design size: Not larger than A4 (8.27 × 11.69 inches).
- Use of text is permitted.
- Design must be original artwork. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
- Designer’s signature within artwork is permitted.
- No use of elements related to alcohol, pornography, gambling or other themes inappropriate for children.
- Digitally drawn designs and hand-drawn designs must be scanned and submitted in hi-res (300 dpi) JPEG or PDF format. Please ensure the file is not larger than 5MB. Only shortlisted contestants will be required to submit original design working files.
- Entries must be submitted by 8 January 2017.
First Round: On 10 January 2017, an internal committee will select the top 10 designs from each category. Designs will be selected based on compliance with contest criteria and clarity of message (LOVE and HOPE for children).
Second Round: Three (3) designs from each category will be shortlisted by a panel of judges led by renowned designer Eric Choong. Designs will be chosen based on adherence to submission criteria, creativity, originality and clarity of theme.
Final Round: The top three (3) shortlisted designs in each category along with judges’ comments will be announced on our Facebook Page on 20 January 2017. Public voting will then commence, where Facebook Likes and Shares for the original post will be counted as votes. The design that obtains the highest number of votes in each category will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, head judge Eric Choong will make the final decision. The voting period closes on 3 February, 2017 at 10am.
Winners will be announced on our Facebook Page and corporate website on 8 February, 2017 at 2pm.
This contest is open to Malaysian students aged 17 to 25 years old. Each contestant must be a student and can only submit one design for consideration.
All designs submitted to World Vision Malaysia (WVM) will be WVM’s intellectual property. WVM reserves the rights to use the designs for production, promotion and publicity of the 20th Anniversary campaign.
WVM reserves the rights to touch up submissions for printing purposes. WVM will place the World Vision and 20th Anniversary logos on the sleeves.
Designs that do not follow the submission criteria, requirements, or are irrelevant to the theme will not be considered for selection. Decisions made by WVM are final.
Category A refers to any field of study related to fine art, graphic design, illustration, fashion, multimedia and animation. Students in any of these or related fields must submit their design entry under Category A. WVM reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who fits this category but does not submit an entry under Category A.
WVM staff members and immediate family are not permitted to join this contest.
All decisions by WVM and the judging panel are final and no correspondence thereon will be entertained.
WVM reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Art with Heart T-Shirt Contest with or without any prior notice and reason. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by WVM shall not entitle the participant to any claim or compensation against WVM for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
