Through our Giving Catalogue, you can bring education, nutrition and more to vulnerable children in Malaysia. Give hope that lasts today!
Glittering, bustling cities…
Yet 6.2% of all Malaysians live in absolute poverty. Sabah has the highest poverty rate – 19.7%.
A foodie’s paradise…
Yet 11.5% of children under five are dangerously underweight for their height.
So much natural splendour…
Yet many children in remote communities can’t access or attend school.
This is the Malaysia World Vision sees.
But we can make it a home where every child thrives!
This year, all gifts from our Giving Catalogue will go towards the Malaysia Assistance Fund, in support of:
One Goal Malaysia
Through One Goal Malaysia's Eat Right To Play Right programme, we're bringing sports-for-nutrition training to urban poor communities in the Klang Valley, as well as at-risk youth and primary schools in Sarawak — helping children grow healthier through better food and active play.
Sabah Community Development Programmes
Since 2014, World Vision has supported children and families in Sabah through Community Development Programmes in Mukim Tulid and Tatalaan. These programmes promote health, safety, and lasting change. Your gift empowers local communities to build a brighter future.

Become a Monthly Giver!
Making Malaysia a better home for every child is something we’re passionate about – but not something we can do alone. Every month, over 2,000 Malaysians partner with us to help local children and families beat back malnutrition and build a future beyond poverty.
Donate Where Needed Most
A general donation will provide necessities like clean water, education and healthcare to communities in need both locally and overseas, according to where the needs are greatest.
Stories of Change
Here’s our Eat Right to Play Right Scorecard from those who took part:

“I learned how to hit shuttles in front of the net and at the back court. I also learned about vegetables and fruits, carbohydrates, fats and other nutrition facts.” – Fayyad, 10, Child Participant

“My students are more aware about healthy eating and how to play badminton. I really hope this programme continues in my school next year.” – Ms. Yong, teacher and community coach

“At first my son was a bit scared, but after joining the programme, he’s become more active and confident in himself.” – Jayasilan; his son Jayshveen won first runner up at a 2023 Eat Right to Play Right tournament.

The Giving Catalogue (previously known as Gifts of Hope) allows you to improve the lives of children, families and communities in Malaysia by giving impactful and sustainable gifts such as sports and nutrition education for children, agricultural training for parents, and safer, child-friendly communities.
Poverty and malnutrition are major global humanitarian issues, and children and communities in Malaysia are not spared from these problems.
Malaysia’s absolute poverty rate stands at 6.2% in 2022. Over the years, Sabah has remained as the state with the highest poverty rate, recording the highest incidence of absolute poverty in 2022, at 19.7%.
In addition, Malaysia faces a triple threat of child malnutrition: stunting, wasting and obesity. 21.8% of children under five suffer from stunting, 9.7% from wasting, while 14.8% of children aged five to 17 years are obese.
World Vision Malaysia seeks to respond to these challenges through local children and child-related development work. This includes our Community Development Programmes in Sabah and One Goal Malaysia’s Eat Right to Play Right programme. Funds raised through this year’s Giving Catalogue will go towards the Malaysia Assistance Fund in support of these programmes, helping us build a better home for all Malaysians.
Gifts from this year’s Giving Catalogue will go towards the Malaysia Assistance Fund in support of:
For each gift, you may choose to give RM300, RM50 or any amount. RM300 is considered the optimal amount for each gift and will have the biggest impact. However, giving RM50 or Any Amount will still contribute strongly towards supporting our work and giving children in Malaysia hope.
At World Vision, we seek to ensure that all resources entrusted to us are used as efficiently and effectively as possible. If donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent programme implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to equally important programmes that help children and families in need.
We will provide a report on how the gifts were delivered and the implementation of supporting programmes. The report for this year’s Giving Catalogue will be available in our Annual Review in mid-2027.
When you donate a gift on behalf of a friend/loved one online, you can send him/her an e-gift card to let him/her know about the special gift you have donated in his/her name.
e-gift cards are only available when you pick your gifts online; you will receive ONE e-gift card with each transaction.
Our commitment is to have your gifts implemented by the members of our local field teams. The gifts are implemented in accordance with the timeline of activities carried out in a community, which is planned annually.
To be eligible for tax-exempt status, a majority of funds raised by World Vision Malaysia must benefit Malaysians. As our funds are primarily channelled overseas to help children living in the poorest areas of the world, donations to World Vision Malaysia are not tax-deductible. So while the gifts in this Giving Catalogue will go towards children and communities in Malaysia, tax deductions do not apply.
