EMERGENCY APPEAL - MIDDLE EAST CRISIS

Lebanon's Children Need Help Now.
What Happened?
On 2 March 2026, renewed hostilities erupted across Lebanon — airstrikes hitting Beirut, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, and the south. More than 83,000 people were forced to flee overnight, including 9,000 children — many of whom have already lived through repeated cycles of conflict and displacement.
Shelters are overwhelmed, with 347 out of 389 already at full capacity. Across Lebanon, 2.99 million people — more than half the population — need urgent humanitarian assistance. For children here, this marks the sixth consecutive year of disrupted education, shattered safety, and compounding trauma.
What World Vision Is Doing
Within hours of the escalation, our teams were on the ground. We've already reached 15,222 people with hot meals, ready-to-eat food, and emergency support — prioritising displaced children and families in collective shelters. We're also working to keep children connected to psychosocial support, safe spaces, and education.
But our resources are critically limited and running out fast.
Help Us Reach 120,000 People
We need USD 5 million (approximately RM19.7 million) over the next 30 days to deliver food, clean water, and child protection services to those who need it most.
Urgent financial support is required to ensure continuity of life-saving interventions and prevent further deterioration for affected families.
