PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Partnership Lead develops and strengthens strategic partnerships with corporations, churches, faith-based organizations, foundations, and other key stakeholders to grow fundraising, expand World Vision Malaysia's reach, and deepen impact for vulnerable children and communities.
The role builds meaningful, long-term relationships by connecting partner interests, resources, and shared values with World Vision's mission, programmes, and opportunities for collective impact.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Partnership Acquisition & Growth
• Identify, prospect, and engage corporations, churches, Christian organizations, foundations, faith networks, and other strategic stakeholders aligned with World Vision Malaysia's mission.
• Develop new partnership opportunities that contribute to fundraising, Child Sponsorship, programme impact, organizational reach, and engagement.
• Research prospective partners and understand their priorities, interests, giving potential, and areas of alignment with World Vision.
• Develop engagement approaches and partnership pipelines that move prospective partners towards meaningful and sustainable collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing partnerships through funding, Child Sponsorship, campaigns, events, advocacy, volunteering, prayer, and other forms of engagement.
2. Partnership Solutions & Proposals
• Develop partnership concepts that connect corporate, organizational, and faith based partner interests with WVM's mission and programme priorities.
• Develop proposals, presentations, pitches, and engagement materials appropriate to different partner audiences.
• Translate partner interests into meaningful opportunities that benefit vulnerable children and communities.
• Present partnership opportunities and support discussions and negotiations with prospective partners.
• Develop relevant engagement opportunities for churches and Christian partners that enable them to participate meaningfully in World Vision's ministry.
3. Partner Relationship & Stewardship
• Build and nurture long term relationships with corporate partners, churches, pastors, Christian leaders, organizations, and other strategic stakeholders.
• Understand partner needs and identify opportunities to deepen their involvement with World Vision's mission.
• Share programme updates, impact stories, ministry opportunities, and results to strengthen partner confidence and commitment.
• Coordinate partner visits, church engagements, appreciation activities, events, and other relationship building initiatives.
• Ensure partners experience professional, responsive, and meaningful engagement throughout their journey with World Vision.
4. Partnership Delivery & Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure partnership commitments and activities are implemented effectively and within agreed timelines.
• Track partnership deliverables, progress, outcomes, and follow up actions.
• Work across departments to resolve issues and ensure effective delivery of partnership initiatives.
• Maintain accurate partnership information, engagement records, proposals, agreements, and relevant documentation.
• Contribute ideas and opportunities that strengthen partnership engagement, fundraising, programme impact, and WVM's visibility.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in partnerships, fundraising, business development, stakeholder engagement, corporate engagement, or related areas.
• Strong relationship building capability with the ability to engage effectively across corporate, church, faith based, and community environments.
• Good understanding of the Malaysian Christian and church landscape, with the ability to engage pastors, ministry leaders, churches, and Christian organizations appropriately.
• Good partnership and business acumen with the ability to understand partner priorities and connect them with organizational and programme needs.
• Strong proposal development, presentation, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities, develop partnership pipelines, and move relationships towards tangible outcomes.
• Strong project management, coordination, and follow through capability.
• Results focused with an understanding that partnerships should contribute to fundraising, engagement, programme impact, and organizational objectives.
• Able to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, adaptability, collaboration, and responsible stewardship.
• Passion for World Vision Malaysia's Christian mission and the ability to inspire partners to participate in the ministry through generosity, Child Sponsorship, advocacy, prayer, volunteering, and other forms of engagement.
